Community-Based Air Monitoring Project

Through the Community-Based Air Monitoring project, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) partnered with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation and the Lower Kuskokwim School District to deploy an air sensor in Bethel. This is part of a program to increase engagement and data across the state. The baseline air quality data is collected for trend analysis and to get a pulse on local air quality conditions, along with providing outreach, education, and assistance to the communities with sensors.
